Why Jesus Died

As he broke the bread,
As he drank the wine,
He was betrayed.

As he prayed,
As the rooster crowed,
He was betrayed.

But he did it for me!

He was mocked, cut, torn and killed.
Unbelieved, forsaken, and alone.

But he did it for me!

His plans, His Hopes,
Revealed, When,

He took my place,
I should have died,
But he tore the veil,
He made a way.

Now we can relate and communicate.
There's no separation or sacrifices,
The last one was made.

He gave of himself,
Humbled into a man.
He died,

Because he loved me,
Cared for me,
And knew I would never make it on my own.

I am surrounded,
In solace,
No noise,
Not a sound,
The beauty of creation,
is found in this one location.
Where life seems to stop,

I am taken from my dream,
To the sound of humanity,
A distant noise,
But now it rings clearly in my ears.
Why?
Why do we have to fight?
Why do we have to kill?
Why?

As darkness closes in I am reminded of God's grace,
Aurora Australis.
I am taken to a place of serenity.
Some people say that in this place,
 Danger is always lurking;
In each, and every shadow.
But no;
All I see is,
White;
Pure White.

Love

When you think of Love,
What do you think?
Do you think,
Of it as pure like a dove?

Or is love something to refrain and give when only necessary?
This is what love is,

Love is in sickness and in health,
In joy and in sorrow,
As well as through the good times and the bad.
Love is shown  without reservation,
And is a comfort you in times of distress,
Love will encourage you to achieve goals,
Laugh with you and cry with you,
Grow with you in mind and spirit,
Always be open and honest with you,

And Love is to be cherished.
